outing with TT yiyi

7th Sept11, Wednesday. T's back and we didnt go eat the usual Malay chicken rice at Lucky Plaza cos i didnt think i could handle baby R all the way there... and i cracked my head where to bring my dear cousin... she wanted to try the macaron i was raving about and tot green curry at the Canteen make sense but decided to bring her to Bugis to try 2 things, Qi Ji popiah and the HK Honeymoon Dessert. She had tried the popiah before and she has been to the dessert store too but she haven tried what i wanted to introduce to her... Phew! Glad she like the mango sago pomelo dessert and with the additional soft soyabean curd that add texture, making it really shiok! hee T you may be screaming at me for posting your "trying to hide pic" but i love your expression!

my dear baby R was sleeping from the time we met up till we were about to start on our dessert!

Lucky baby R received a gift TTyiyi brought back all the way from Sydney!
Its a huge (cos i got the tiny one!) huggable eric carle hungry caterpillar!
T said the lady in the shop helped to wrap it up so nicely! such good services!

not only did baby R have a new toy... she was thrilled when she saw...

As we were heading to the train station... we saw little blue creatures near the fountain area!
SMURFS!
it was so cute to see so many of them climbing up the ropes!
i so want the figurines! so cute!

Part ii - Caneles at Shaw

i ordered a match cake dun remember the name, light and nice not too sweet
i ordered a passionfruit macaron and of cos my number 1 favourite seasalt caramel macaron!
the passionfruit was not bad, like the tinge of sourness that goes well with the sweet macaron case!

we sat down then we look thru the menu for drinks... and baby R raised her hand out when the waitress walked away... she was asking for her menu cos only mummy and yiyi were given and she wanted hers! the waitress returned with a menu for the little rascal! baby R opened up and saw a pic and pointed to it "i want to order SALAD!" Nooooooo! i told the waitresss to ignore her order! TTyiyi was amazed her little niece can order food on her own! When i got home, i checked with mil if there was any books she read to baby R that had SALAD! cos i never order salads and dun recall teaching her the word... when she was much younger, mil read to her the individual themed books like Food, Transportation, Opposites and so on.. there is salad in the food book!

TT had a slice of chocolate layered cake that baby R was more interested in sharing.... leaving me to my matcha cake by myself... baby R looked more like a destroyer of the TTyiyi's cake! TT loved the caramel macaron but find the chocolate macaron fair and not as fantastic! baby R now enjoys drinking from glasses like us...so she had her own water in a glass sipping thru the straw enjoying the teatime with us... it was a not too long, not too short meetup and the next time TT comes back i would be stuck at home and you will have to come by to my house to visit me and my 2 gals!
