I had tried to organise with mum to have dinner at bro's place, kinda house warming session for bro and also a gathering place for this year's mooncake festival... but mum mgs me to tell me on Friday that she had to work that Saturday morning and she won't be able to cope with the dinner... so Saturday was canned... mum doesnt have a maid to help her out now.. besides, its my bro's house and she doesnt go back to punggol as often and i can't help her out with the dinner with my gal who needs supervision and my big tummy... so i can't and didnt push for the dinner.
I do wish something can be done, i dun want the tradition to meet up on these occasion to stop... but at the same time, alot is depended on my mum... also i guess everyone kind of back off and wait cos my mum never fails to invite everyone for dinner each and every year... so i wonder what can we do... cos now mum has duty as grandma... caregiver for sis' baby...
We still had a mini gathering cos of my unexpected day out with Uncle K's family, they were invited to have dinner cos they live a street away from my bro's place... when we got to bro's place, Didi L has fallen asleep and baby R played with the twins yiyis instead. She was prob not helping the twins yiyi but making more of trouble and mess when the twins wrote their invites for the family members on the house! That was it for my side of mooncake lantern festival this year... jus the few of us eating the mooncake, chatting away...
