13th Sept11 : instant noodles with fishballs, frozen packet prawns and luncheon meat for daddy's dinner
14th Sept11 : marinated veyr pepperish chicken wings for dinner
15th Sept11 : Didnt cook, we head out for porridge
16th Sept11, Friday. I wanted to clear the chorizo sausages i bought so i decided to cook garlic pasta with chorizo... i wanted to buy the garlic infused olive oil but i changed my mind cos i was thinking after giving birth to baby #2, i won't have too much time to prep dinner... so i used bottle minced garlic instead...
i got baby R to count 20 pasta for daddy and 20 pasta for mummy and 10 for her on her own... started by watching her do till 6.... but when i heard her count 8... i heard pasta dropping on the table! baby R tried to pour the whole packet out! i gave her the counting job cos i needed to keep her away from me as i was using the knife and tot it was a fun activity for her... apparently she had no patience after awhile... next time maybe i will give her a string to do threading with these penne pasta to keep her busy while i cook!
i love my pasta strainer and after this is taken out i use the same pot to heat up oil and fry the chorizo slices 1st and then take them out. Next in goes the garlic and pasta and chorizo! Worried about the oil from cooking, i didnt let the garlic cook very long, didnt use alot of oil... pasta was alittle dry and tasteless without the garlic oil and fresh garlic...
tried to get baby R to feed herself but she was more interested in eating the pasta i was preparing...
so i make sure i fed her and she finished her porridge before i started eating.
prep my favourite soup with oven toasted bacon bits...
pasta looking good but lacked in flavour but gx still finished it all cos he say he can't taste anything with his bland sick tongue... thou it was my favourite tomato soup... i didnt take more than 3 spoonsful... gx never fancy the soup so it was a waste... baby R enjoyed the pasta even thou she finished her porridge, she managed a few pasta and wanted more!
