Our Family's Heart Project!

18th September11, Sunday. After 12mn, cos i drank mum's chicken soup that had 2 packets of cordyceps and 2 ginseng, i couldnt sleep so i chatted with gx till almost 2am while he was cleaning up his watches... yah gx polishes his own watches and he told me what other time does he has to do his own things? only when our gal is asleep she doesnt stick to him! in the end i told him the surprise art session cos he was planning to wear nice cos he knows i would usually expect him to... he was taken back when i say wear something that he can afford to dirty... so he dug out the surprise and i wasnt sure if he was keen in the end... but he say we would still go.

morning was fine and sil bought Mc for breakfast but it was after he fetch his mum, GX came home and decided to start packing baby R's toys! i was thinking NOooooooO! true enough, GX was mad to find baby R's toy so mixed up and he grumbled alittle here and there while packing... GOSH dun know why he chose to do this while we should jus chill and watch some old videos that was playing on the tv... i was having heartburn and it wasnt helping my mood hitting low... then it was sweet baby R who came to room to pull me up to join the DONE PACKING daddy to watch the dvd that i had burnt earlier that afternoon... after the dvd ended, we prep and head out to Liang Court. We were late for our session but we were still greeted with a smile by the lady who was going to hold the art session with us. baby R woke up from her short nap and look so blur and obedient... but i did warn the teacher about her being all over when she is warmed up!

after chatting with the nice gal the Heart Art Project idea i had, we were ready to start!

the teacher helped baby R do the colourful stripes of colour to do a rainbow heart, while i started drawing the outline for my heart art project. when baby R touched the paint accidently, she remembered how i would clean her hands immediately when we did art at home... she quickly showed me her hands and raised it up to avoid touching her clothings! We used wet wipes to clean her hands quickly cos we were told acrylic dries up really fast!

daddy had a go with his sketch but in the end he left it to me to do the outline for him. He wanted me to have it my way so that it will make me happy... he is very sweet and prob didnt want to upset me and avoid me nagging at him! The teacher brought baby R near the hairdryer to fasten the drying process and baby R ran away! daddy went to her rescue and held her to let her watch how the teacher use the hairdryer to speed up the drying process.... but she really was afraid of the sound the dryer made... so i got them to start on the heart while i was drawing outlines for daddy's canvas.

daddy serious at work!
GX decided to do all shades of red-pink hearts!

thru the art session i did complain gx was bias! he kept taking shots of our gal when he catches her in action while neglecting me! i was constantly taking shots of them in bewteen my painting! GX was really concentrating painting his hearts thou... and i love watching him do his painting. baby R ran away once she was done filling up the whole canvas and she didnt want to be near the teacher who was drying up her artwork!

these were the orignal colours the teacher did with baby R but in the end i wasnt really please with the heart shape the teacher did esp when she did the colours upside down... i had written the colours according to the rainbow song we sing with baby R... also the choice of the colours were little dark... so when i was done with my art piece, i corrected the rainbow heart and traced it with black for baby R.

Baby R was then wandering about the little art area to look at the artwork by other children and then she decided to take up the big camera and she looped it over her head on her own and kept repeating, DADDY MUMMY Look here, Look at me! So i taught her how to press the shutter button but she couldnt handle and i had to help her click it and daddy did the same when she went to gx to tak his pic!

dun mistaken... gx is drying his painting!

to keep the little one busy and keep baby R out of our way while gx and i did our touch-ups
the art teacher got baby R to draw on the whiteboard which thrilled the little one!
occasionally we would hear baby R asking Guess what i draw Daddy Mummy!

once daddy was done with his masterpiece, baby R had him to join her!

I wanted GX to fill in my stickmen which represented our family of 4. While GX tries it out on the whiteboard, i tried with the paint brushes and in the end i got the style i wanted for the stickmen as i practiced and gx told me to do it myself instead.... i was nervous and prob didnt dare to do it on my own at first and i  had waited for gx to finish up his painting while i spent my time working on baby R's! i braved myself and drew GX stickmen 1st followed by a mummy stick figure thats me and i did a little one standing next to me... then baby R ran over to check out what i was doing cos gx had walked over to see how i was doing! the teacher and i freaked out when baby R ran over with a marker in her hand! think the teacher could see why i had pre-warned her about how active baby R could get and i think i couldnt help laughing how worried the teacher looked! bad me! when i drew one more next to gx, i made that bigger than the kiddo i had drawn early cos i couldnt go any smaller and so the one next to GX would be Baby R and the one next to me is kiddo#2!

Gx told me after the whole session that it was a nice activity, something different but he dun like painting cos of the pre-prep of newspaper, getting the materials and of cos the washup! But he did enjoy the session and tot it was a nice family activity but he doesnt want to do this at home! Got baby R to take a shot with her art teacher!

Our 6th Wedding Anniversary Portrait!

Like baby R, i didnt get to use the dryer either, not that i am afraid of the sound but the teacher was very nice that she helped me dry my painting, easing me getting up and about standing to dry my own painting! i did message the ladyboss that i liase with to praise the nice lady that accompanied our family thru the session and i was told that they would be moving from Liang Court vis sms.... with the teacher's recommendation, we found ourselves a place for dinner and i proudly took a shot with our masterpieces and i was truly feeling happy when i saw our heart project pieces!
