Very early in the month of August, i had specially called my cousin A to ask her to help me get 3 boxes of these yummy teochew mooncakes when she gets hers this year! Last year, her hubby gave my mum 2 boxes for the Lunar Mooncake Festival and i fell in love with it!
Sadly, when cousin A called and told me she could only get 2 boxes for me, that wasnt the bad news... she told me that the shop had limited each customer to buy 2 boxes only cos there was a super long queue for it when the news was shown on CH8 that the old folks decided to wrap up the biz... no one to pass the trade to... they decided to close after this year's mooncake festival! Sad that my newly found love of this smooth filling pastry will be no longer available after this year...
