Positive Activity

Reward Sticker Chart

15th Nov11. I started a project with baby R - this was something i had in mind all the time esp after giving birth, with baby R's behaviour changing and also the challenging Terrible Two tantrums, this was the positive plan to get baby R back on the track... with xmas a couple weeks away, with malls filled with activities and hitting stores - helps me to get stuffs to award our little gal when she earns enough stickers to receive a reward. I wanted to make the chart interesting and also a little art project and the hungry caterpillar Cousin T gave baby R sparked the 1st sticker chart idea!  i cut out round circles and got baby R to stick them on the chart... as this was done while baby A was napping, i didnt take any pics while we created but with the end product, baby R was really excited and yet shy away from the camera due to her wound... ever since the accident, she is conscious of taking pics... not as spontaneous as before...

at the start, baby R didnt know what the chart was all about when i tried explaining to her... she didnt have the patience to hear me out... GX told me to jus go along and she will get it. That was a better plan! Whenever baby R did something good, i praised her and awarded a sticker and she would excitedly paste it on the chart and when she filled up the spot before the RED circle, she get to be surprised with the reward! funny thing was she knew how the chart works, she was a better gal and offered to be good and helped me out with many chores esp collecting the laundry but i won't say she purposely did all the good things to earn her stickers... my gal has a heart of gold... its just with the stickers, i helped me to be able to reward her when she does something good and it makes me proud of her and she is happy for being recognised...

My gal said many sweet things to cheer me up and those were recorded in earlier posts. my little sweet heart also lend me her hands to massage my tired shoulders, she drummed my tired and painful shoulders and warmed my heart. Simple things like packing her toys she got rewarded with a sticker too cos she is terrible with packing! Also being able to pee and poo in the potty with no accidents about the house thru the day and learning her colours in mandrin, baby R gets a sticker too! Esp when she shows real concern to her little sis and when baby R said I love you Meimei, she defnitely filled her chart cos we wanted her  to know she was a good jiejie!
