2 in my hands!

How mummy cope with two on her own!

when confinement lady left... its a battle! Not just physically but mentally i had to be strong! I had to be strong to endure the carrying of a crying baby A and eyes on the active baby R, suffer hunger and pains in my joints esp my shoulders and lower back... Mentally i had to be prepared for the on-going activities thru the day. I had to make sure i keep a look out on the clock to know when to feed baby A so to ensure less crazy cries and i was good at making sure she didnt cry too much about wet diapers too. Less crying makes less chaos.

The tough part at the start was how to handle when both need attention but i needed to get things done! thank goodness baby R is very independent and she could entertain herself with the toys and of cos being 2, baby R still runs to me for attention and sometimes you can tell she is fighting for her rights to be with me and sadly, i had to tell her to look thru her books, look at the pictures 1st, let me settle baby A before reading to her or give her whatever she needed me to do with her...

bathing the 2 in the evening without another person to eye on the one who isnt showering is the tough part of my evening! to clean up baby A, i set up dvd for baby R and i had to constantly shout thru the corridor to make sure she was ok cos i can't see her from the room! then its tough when baby A dun sleep when i shower baby R! baby A isnt a cot baby... she refuses to lie in her cot if she is awake and would cry thus i had to make alternatives and with mil and gx's suggestions, i started out with putting baby A in the rocker but that didnt last long as she would want to be out of the rocker after 5mins! Then i simply left her on the bed.

Somehow and not sure when it happened... baby A gradually began to nap at 6-7+pm and when she does nap, it will be till 12mn-1am then she wakes up for her 1st wee hour feed... then baby A changed her feed to  one 4-5am feed but now she still naps from 6-7+ but recently baby A wakes up at 9pm to join baby R and i during story time...

during baby A's late evening nap time, mummy has to feed jiejie and myself, shower baby R, wash the dishes and thank goodness i have a good gal who volunteers to get the tiny clothings off the hangers, prep nite feed and settle both gals in the room!

the pic above is reality! haha... baby R was so into taking pics with my hp and cameras...this was taken by her! tot i should let the gals see how crazy the day could be for mummy! thou the day didnt allow me to look glam, i sure smiled when baby R held the camera in her hand and asked me to SMILE mummy!
